The incident happened on Saturday night, when, according to Strathclyde Police, the 22-year-old was struck by the vehicle on the main road in Brodick at around 10pm.

A rugby player is in a life threatening but stable condition after suffering a cardiac arrest during a game near Cambridge. The Ely Tigers player, believed to be in his late 30s or early 40s, was playing at Great Shelford on Saturday afternoon when he collapsed.
