Hamburg signs England prospect Michael Mancienne (AP)
HAMBURG, Germany (AP)—Hamburger SV has signed England youth team international Michael Mancienne from Chelsea for a fee of around ?2 million ($2.9 million). The Bundesliga club said on its website Tuesday that the 23-year-old defender signed a four-year contract after undergoing a medical. Mancienne, who has played for England from under-16 to under-21 levels, was on loan at Chelsea’s Premier League rival Wolverhampton Wanderers for the last three seasons.
